What is an SFTP Promotions integration?#
SFTP Promotions integration allows you to easily create Strikethrough promotions on our platform. This solution will help you to attract more customers, boost sales, and grow your business by streamlining the promotion management process.
Our SFTP integration is managed via our SFTP Central Server, which holds a specialised location where your SFTP client can push CSV files to. On a regular basis, these files will be scanned by our SFTP Central Server & syncronised with our systems.
Based on the file format adopted, you will be able create/manage promotions for a single store or multiple locations in one go.
SFTP Central Server - What is it?#
In order to sync the correctly-formatted files, our SFTP server also hosts a directory with 3 sub-directories for your use:
- Assortment - intended to update product status or price and/or create strikethrough promotions in the Single File Format.
- Catalog - intended to update Assortment in Double File Format.
- Promotions - intended to create strikethrough promotions in Double File Format.
Which file formats are available?#
Our Central SFTP server supports multiple file formats to ensure seamless integration.
- Single File Format (Single Vendor) – Assortment & Promotions updates are submitted in one file for a single vendor or store.
- Double File Format (Single Vendor) – Assortment & Promotions updates are submitted in two separate files for a single vendor.
- Double File Format (Multi-Vendor) – Assortment & Promotions updates are submitted in two separate files, supporting multiple vendors or stores in a single file.
You can find more about file formats specifications and how to configure them in the next section.
