What are Local Shops?#

Shops partners vary in size, users and scale
In the context of Quick Commerce and our Foodpanda platform, Local Shops represent a wide range of businesses, from independent boutiques to multinational retailers, all with the shared objective of serving customers quickly and efficiently.

Each Partner manages their own product listings, sets prices, runs promotional campaigns, and oversees order fulfillment, including picking/packing an order for delivery.

Given the variety of businesses on our platform, their product selection is equally diverse—while a small flower shop may offer only a few SKUs, a large hypermarket can list tens of thousands of products.

Automation via integrations#

The way Local Shops operate depends on their size and technological capabilities.

Partners operating smaller shops tend to use self-service tools to manage key aspects of their business such as creating promotions, taking inventory or stock to sell, and picking/packing an order for delivery.

If you are a Partner with a large number of SKUs to manage or simply aiming to minimise the need to use self-service tools by making use of integrations to perform the same key operations, this is where our integrations come in!

The “Partner API” is a suite of custom integration tools designed for Local Shops Partners, enabling seamless connectivity with our platform.

Partner API enables you to cover 3 core capabilities:

• Manage your Catalog of Products: Easily manage the availability and price of your products to ensure your offerings are always up to date.
• Grow your business: Create and manage promotions to attract customers and boost sales.
• Manage incoming orders: get real-time updates into picking, packing & delivery.

SFTP Integration#

What is SFTP?#

SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) provides a simple, bulk-update solution for managing both product catalogs and promotions. This method is ideal for those who prefer a file-based approach without needing real-time API integration.

Our SFTP offering covers 2 core aspects:

• Manage your catalog of products: update the availability and price of your products (SFTP Catalog)
• Grow your business: Create and manage promotions to attract customers and boost sale (SFTP Promotions)

SFTP relies on structured CSV files that you upload to a central SFTP server, where they are automatically processed. You can use a single file to update both promotions and the availability of your items together.
